This Policy applies to all purchases made through our website and is an integral part of our Terms of Service (the "Terms"). By using our services, you agree to comply with both the Terms and this Returns Policy.
1. Introduction
At Fashion Brazil, we understand that returning items can be frustrating, so we've simplified the process. This policy outlines your rights regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made through our site.
2. Faulty or Defective Products
If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, you are entitled to a remedy under New Zealand Consumer Law, which may include a refund, repair, or replacement. Please contact us as soon as possible. Please note that we do not offer refunds for change of mind, but we may offer an exchange or store credit.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, swimwear bottoms, swimsuits, bodysuits, and lingerie are not eligible for return or exchange unless the item is faulty.
Items discounted by 30% or more are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, unless the item is faulty or defective. Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash.
To initiate your return, please follow these steps:
- Contact us at hello@fashionbrazil.co.nz within 21 days of receiving your order
- Received a faulty item? Email us ASAP and provide clear photos of the fault or damage for assessment.
- Once verified and approved, we will email you a return shipping label
- Attach the label to your parcel and drop it off at your local post center (unless otherwise advised)
- Keep your receipt - once we receive and confirm the item is faulty, we will refund your return shipping costs.
IMPORTANT: All faulty item claims require photo verification before approval. For exchanges, items must be in new, unworn condition with tags attached - items showing any signs of wear, damage, or use will be rejected and returned to you at your cost.
3. Conditions for Returns
Returns are accepted under the following conditions:
- The item must be in new condition—unworn, unused, with tags or packaging intact, and no broken seals.
- Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it to ensure it meets these conditions. If everything is in order, we will contact you to proceed with an exchange, store credit, or refund (where applicable).
- Items that do not meet these conditions will be returned to the customer at their own cost.
- Returns are not accepted after 21 days. Returns or exchanges for change of mind received after this period will be returned to the sender.
- We recommend that customers use a traceable courier service when returning items. We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for covering return shipping costs. If you exchange an item, you will also be responsible for the shipping fees of the new product. If the item being exchanged originally had free shipping, the cost of shipping covered by us will be deducted from the refund or exchange amount, unless the item being returned is faulty.
Unclaimed Items: If the return process is not completed within 14 days of our contact, we will store the item during this time. After 14 days, we reserve the right to donate the item to a local charity to minimize waste and support community causes.
Note: We cannot offer refunds for damage due to misuse, accidents, or improper care. In some cases, we may ask you to dispose of the faulty item and will provide instructions.

4. Returns Tender
- Store Credit: If you choose store credit, a store credit note will be issued to your Fashion Brazil account, valid for 12 months. You can apply this credit note during checkout on future purchases.
- Refunds: Refunds to the original payment method are only applicable for products deemed faulty or defective. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take up to 7 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Discretionary Store Credits
Discretionary store credit issued for a specific order is valid for 30 days from the date of that order. Standard store credit policies do not apply.
5. Amendments
We may update this Returns Policy occasionally. Purchases made after an update will be subject to the new terms. Please review the policy regularly to stay informed.
6. Consumer Guarantees
This Returns Policy does not exclude or limit your rights under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act1986 (FTA). For more information, please refer to Consumer Protection.
